Prices were up significantly for pregnancy tested in calf females at Mount Pleasant annual Breeder Sale last week. And it was Murray Grey Cattle in demand, with Darren Koopman and his parents Gerald and Jeannette, Bottlesford, Tungkillo selling the top priced lots. The first draft of two year old heifers, PTIC to Willalooka and Monterey Murray Grey bulls selling at $1040. The second pen of rising two year olds from the Koopmans sold at $1000. All stock sold to the same buyer, Graham Spears, High Eden East, Eden Valley, who said he bought the cattle because of the Koopman family's reputation for producing quality stock and because he dealt only in Murray Greys.
